Zug - Inacta is restructuring and expanding its venture business. Former Julius Bär Chairman Daniel J. Sauter, SDX’s General Counsel Nathan Kaiser and UBP banker Kathrin Genovese-Delwing are all new members of its board. The company also helps developing a crypto ecosystem in Dubai inspired by the Crypto Valley model from Zug.

Calgary/Dietlikon - Canada’s Nanalysis Scientific Corp. has entered into a letter of intent to acquire QUAD Systems AG. The company from the Greater Zurich Area specializes in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance - an analysis method that is used in the pharma industry, for example.
Daedalean raises 53 million Swiss francs
Zurich - Daedalean AG has raised 53 million Swiss francs in a financing round. The Zurich startup develops artificial intelligence-based software for aircraft. The raised capital will enable the company to bring its suite to market over the next four years.
Neural networks learn faster using ETH software
Zurich - Researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) have developed a software solution to accelerate the training process for neural networks. This takes a huge amount of computing time and costs a great deal of money. This new predictive software could now make this process between two and potentially more than five times faster.
UZH spin-offs were successful in 2021

Kloten ZH/Palo Alto - The Californian IT provider Kiteworks is taking over Totemo AG, which specializes in secure emails. As part of the merger, Totemo’s headquarters at Zurich Airport will become Kiteworks’ central office for the regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
