Schlieren ZH - Contovista is supporting the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich with development of its artificial intelligence center. The FinTech company is bringing its experience in the finance industry to this project.

The Schlieren-based company Contovista, which specializes in software solutions for banks, has been selected as a corporate partner by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH). According to a press release, Contovista is to support the ETH with the development and expansion of the AI Center, which was established in October 2020. The AI Center aims to bring together researchers from AI fundamental research, AI applications and AI implications in order to promote research, innovation and AI entrepreneurship. According to the press release, the collaboration with Contovista aims to establish Zurich as the Swiss location for AI.

In the press release, Klaus Fuchs, Director for Industry Collaborations at the ETH AI Center, points out that artificial intelligence is “becoming increasingly important, especially in the area of financial services”. For this reason, AI within the finance sector is one of the center’s areas of focus. He sees the fact that the center can work on this with local companies incorporating practical exchange as a positive. Fuchs adds: “This also provides our students with the great opportunity to implement their projects using real data.”

Amancio Bouza, Chief Product Officer at Contovista, states that the aim of the collaboration is “to sustainably strengthen Zurich as an AI location by creating fertile ground for AI experts and AI talents”.
